Hotel The Oitavos

The Oitavos is a five-star luxury hotel located on the Lisbon coast, near the Portuguese Riviera town of Cascais, a charming traditional fishing town with its year-round sunny climate, offers areas of outstanding natural beauty and just 30 minutes drive from Lisbon airport. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the Oitavos Dunes golf course, and is surrounded by a splendid landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Sintra-Cascais. Set amongst sand dunes and umbrella pines, the bold design, sleek lines and elegantly simple interiors of the hotel focus attention outwards – on the historical and natural elements of the terrain and the drama and romance of the Atlantic Ocean. It was designed by Portuguese architect José Amaral Anahory to embrace nature at every turn, whether the floor to ceiling glass walls, which make the most of the stunning ocean views, or the 70 hectares of lush land and protected sand dunes that it overlooks. All 142 guest rooms have an area of at least 64 sq.mt. (689 sq.ft.), with Atlântico and Oitavos suites being double that size. All guest rooms have their own private balcony and views over the ocean and the golf course. The rooms are modern and sophisticated, offering every possible amenity as well as a level of luxury you would expect from a five star destination. Each has a private balcony, where you can admire the sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as an airy open plan living space complete with a working desk, flat-screen TV and fluffy, cloud-like beds that promise a dreamy night's sleep. In addition, the property features a state-of-the-art Conference Centre for groups of up to 1.700 people, a Spa, a variety of restaurants and bars with a gastronomic experience based on the authentic Portuguese cuisine, recreated with a masterful and modern twist. Sharing this great scenario, you’ll find the award winning golf course Oitavos Dunes Links Course, one of the Top 100 Best Courses in the World by Golf Magazine. It is also one of the first to be honored as a Certified Gold Signature Sanctuary, a conservation award conferred, by the Audubon International organization. The Oitavos reveals to be the area’s premier venue for leisure travel, dining, business and incentive meetings and social events.
