Tourism Authority of Thailand

Thailand is one of the most popular long-distance travel destinations for Germans. Magnificent temples, spectacular dream beaches and exotic nature make the Southeast Asian country a fascinating travel destination. Its unique culture, along with the beauty of its landscape and its culinary diversity, is probably the strongest
Thailand's most recognizable feature and makes many guests return several times a year.

Focus on sustainable tourism development and concepts: There are nationwide efforts by Thailand, its tourism industry, and the respective
regions and communities to promote sustainable tourism. One example of such efforts is the island of Koh Mak in Trat Province off the east coast of the Gulf of
of Thailand. Here, structures are being created for both island residents and visitors to become Thailand's first low-carbon destination, as well as to contribute to the well-being of local people, flora and fauna.

In 2020, the Tourism Authority of Thailand celebrated its 60th anniversary and looks back on more than six decades of Thai hospitality. The contact for the German-speaking markets is the office of the Thai Tourist Board based in Frankfurt.
